Chris Bumstead revealed that he tries to stay away from opinions and hype before the last few weeks of the competition. He wrote, “I was holding back all the garage shots this year. The closer I get to show day the more I like to hide and block out as much noise and opinions as possible.”
The bodybuilder shared that he mostly watched car reviews and movie trailers on YouTube. Although Bumstead has a huge social media presence, he is a peace-loving man. However, he admitted that it is tough to turn off social media. Bumstead added, “It’s not easy when social media is such a large part of my life, but just as I choose what put out there I also get to choose what I take in.”
Furthermore, he also explained how peace of mind was necessary for him to take control of his mind. “Peace of mind is priceless leading up to a show and the more you control what enters your mind the more in control of your mind you can be,” he said.
