Days Before Million Dollar Grade 1 Stakes, $717,600 Horse Flexes Impressive Pace at Equestrian Racecourse

Saratoga Racetrack is ready to host some of the major equestrian races in the upcoming months. Trainers, jockeys, and horses are sweating it out in the preparations for these races. Some of them have even started to take advantage of their prior experience at this New York-based racetrack. Stakes are very high, so pre-preparation is a good way to kickstart things and perform well on D-Day.

One such Grade I stakes will be organized next month, and a major participant in this race is already taking the equestrian world by storm with his thunderous speed on the track during the practice.

Equine athlete races against time

Charge It, the four-year-old colt has returned to Worktab. According to DRF, during the preparations for the Grade I Whitney Stakes, he clocked an exhilarating time of 49.96 seconds for a half-mile run. This $1 million race will take place on August 5 at the Saratoga Racecourse near Albany, New York.

Whitney Stakes Trained by Todd A. Pletcher, was the winner of the Grade II Suburban Stakes with a rating of 7.1, leaving behind the pair of Clapton and Emisael Jaramillo. The race was held at Belmont Park at the beginning of this month. Since his debut last year, the equine athlete has impressed equestrian enthusiasts with his performance and will be looking to replicate the same at the Whitney.
