In a post on X by Trent Wood, an update was shared amid the blazing NCAA gymnastics season. The post read, “Amelie Morgan confirms that she will be competing at English Gymnastics Championships in March.“ Amelie Morgan, a talented gymnast who had previously won a bronze medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics as part of the Great Britain team, is currently competing for the University of Utah in the United States. It’s not clear yet how long Amelie will be away from the University of Utah’s gymnastics team since they are in the midst of their season until mid-April. Interestingly, Amelie had previously mentioned in April that she wasn’t seriously considering a return to elite gymnastics and the British national team. But her decision to participate in the English gymnastics championships now comes as a surprise. However, Amelie Morgan is not the only gymnast heading to Europe, and she is also not the only one to leave the gymnastics season mid-season.
