Simone Biles could not control her emotions
Simone Biles, and her sister Adria, trained under Boorman at Bannon’s Gymnastix, Houston. In her book Courage To Soar, Biles opened up about the incident when Boorman left the gym. Boorman’s leaving the gym came as a surprise to everyone, including Simone Biles.
Biles admitted that she frequently cries when she is in a panicky scenario. She hurried to the restroom, crying hysterically, and dialed her mother. Biles informed her mother that since Aimee had left the gym, Adria and she had no one to look up to. Biles even insisted on clearing out the lockers and leaving the gym with Adria.

Simone Biles‘ level-headed mother asked her not to empty the lockers and leave things as they were. She said, “There’s no need to be dramatic here.” She also advised Biles to skip the gym that day and go to the church’s faith development program.

Unsure of her next step as a gymnastics trainee and afraid of losing her friends at Bannon’s, Biles took Adria to the church. Biles said, “Both our eyes were red.” At the church, the priest asked Simone to read something to the group, and that’s when she broke down again.

Biles talks about the bond between athletes and coaches
Biles had previously opened up about the importance of coaches in a sportsperson’s life. She discussed how communication and trust can be the most crucial components to establishing a relationship between an athlete and a coach.

Biles believes that coaches must occasionally push players out of their comfort zones to reach their greatest potential. She said that this is when communication and trust come into play. The player must communicate how far the coaches can push them, and the coaches must believe in the player’s potential.
