Three-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas has her eyes set on the 2024 Paris Olympics. Announcing her return after a six-year hiatus has stirred a wave of excitement among her fans. The 27-year-old previously competed during the 2016 Rio Games, following which she took a break from social media. Now her resurgence marks a beam of hope for her fans. Vying for a spot at the forthcoming Olympics, she is prepping up with full zeal.

She had taken the London Olympics by storm back in 2012, and she is once again hoping for the same. Moreover, lately, she has been keeping her fans updated via Instagram, making them a part of her journey after the break period.

In her latest Instagram story, Douglas looked sharp in her new look. The caption read, “Late night Gabby Shenanigans.” Even in her casual bedtime look, the gymnast radiated energy and zeal, owing to her gruesome training for the Paris Olympics 2024. Moreover, the highlights on her hair in a shade of red-orange looked ethereal.

After competing at the 2016 Rio Games, Gabby Douglas left the sport, finding herself surrounded by backlashes and controversies. She stepped out of the public eye completely. However, after a long hiatus, Douglas made an astonishing appearance on Instagram back in July this year. Posting photos on the balance team, she shared a heartfelt caption. The hiatus was dedicated to “journaling, reflecting, soul searching” to come to terms with her fear and darkness.

Can Gabby make it to the grand stage again?

It marked the arrival of Douglas into the field of artistic gymnastics once again. Since then, Douglas has been training intensively. Recently she participated in her first national team camp after seven years. She returned to workouts about a year ago, and everyone is excited to watch Douglas compete again. She is training with all her might to make it to the five-woman 2024 Olympic team. The decision for the same will come in June.
