The couple, before having an elaborate ceremony in Cabo, had tied the knot in a Texas courthouse last month.

While their civil wedding was an intimate affair, their second wedding ceremony was an elaborate and lavish event with 144 guests in attendance. Simone Biles had been constantly sending out updates on her social media, hinting to her fans that the second ceremony was near. Surely, the fans were elated to witness her big day, and the same is probably true for her fellow athletes.

The photos showed her and her husband, in all their wedding attire glory, posing under an alluring niche of flowers. Along with the photo, Biles posted the caption, “Mr. & Mrs. Owens”. The wedding pictures created a frenzy on the internet.

Biles and Owens received many congratulations from fans all around the world. Along with the fans, the sports world sent its best wishes. Many Olympic champions congratulated the couple as well. Michael Phelps, the swimming legend with a total of 28 Olympic medals, also commented on Biles’ post. He wrote, “Congrats!!”. Owens and Biles connected with each other at the beginning of the pandemic. The bond they formed strengthened over time, which led to a Valentine’s Day proposal in 2022.
