When it comes to rock climbing, Burrow is an ambitious kid. But at the same time, he is extremely empathetic and has found a unique way of combining his passion for rock climbing with a social cause. In a Facebook post by Yorkshire Post, Burrow mentioned that he is currently on a journey to climb all the 12 highest mountains in his country, for poor children.
“I want poorly children at Derian House Children’s Hospice to go on holiday,” stated the six-year-old climber. Burrow is halfway through his adventure, after summiting six out of 12 mountains. He started his journey on October 2022, with the Ingleborough mountain in the Yorkshire Dales. Burrow’s next mountain is Snowdon in Gwynedd, which he aims to mount between February 16-18th.

Before beginning her journey as a climber the author thought, rock climbing would mean excelling in the sport, reaching your peak, and becoming famous. However, as she stepped on the rocks, Fleming realized rock climbing was different. It made her more aware of her surroundings and “play with risk.” It also helped her gain strengths she had never thought about.
