Tony Hawk is a legendary American skateboarder. In addition to that, he is also an entrepreneur and founder of the skatepark project.

Hawk won 10 gold, three silver, and three bronze at the Summer X Games. Furthermore, he was the World Champion for 12 consecutive years. Although the legend had incredible professional success, his personal life was quite turbulent.

Hawk has had three divorces in his life. The last divorce happened in 2011, with his third wife Lhotse Merriam. He further had his fourth marriage in 2015 to Cathy Goodman.

Tony Hawk has had a rough married life

Tony Hawk had his third divorce in 2011 when he started dating his best friend’s wife Cathy Goodman. She is also the current wife of Tony Hawk. The couple got married on June 27, 2015.

Tony and his ex-wife Lhotse stated while divorcing, “We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter, and out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family’s privacy during this important time of transition.”

While discussing his failed marriages in an interview, Hawk said, “The most challenging factor in my relationships remains travel and prioritizing my time.” When asked about his personal life, Hawk further said, “There were all kinds of other elements, such as behaviors I’ve managed to get control of.”

Six years of a successful marriage

After three failed marriages, Tony’s fourth marriage seems to be a successful one. He has spent six years with Cathy Goodman and they await lots more. While talking about his marriage with Cathy, Tony said, “We connect on a deep level in terms of our approach to life. I hate to use the word ‘alternative’, but we have a unique approach to parenting.”
