She adds, “I think every era is different and I think social media has changed the things like operate, like how much time athletes have to give to things other than sports, it’s hard to manage everything and all to manage under pressure, there is a lot more pressure than you can see, in the meantime, you can stay away from reading articles, papers but social media is very difficult to ignore.”

Vonn hints at the increasing pressures that come with maintaining a strong online presence while performing at the highest level in their chosen sport. While athletes like Vonn have achieved remarkable success, they are not immune to the negative side of social media’s far-reaching influence.

Skiing queen’s Chubby Bunny challenge

On August 4th, Vonn appeared on the show, showcasing her spirit by skiing down a slope shortly after knee surgery. The highlight of her appearance, or perhaps the most controversial, was a game of “Chubby Bunny”, by former NFL star Eli Manning. Here participants stuff as many marshmallows as possible into their mouths & sing a chosen song. Manning chose Vonn’s favorite childhood tune, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”
