Shaun White is the best-known snowboarder in the world. What makes him so is the fact that he has clinched the Olympic gold medal three times in his career. He won his first Olympic gold in halfpipe snowboarding in 2006 at Torino. Since then there has been no looking back for him. Later, he went on to win the other two gold medals in the 2010 and 2018 Olympics respectively.

Recently, Shaun White uploaded an adorable picture of his childhood with a caption from a Taylor Swift song “And August slipped away into a moment of time”. Although his love for music isn’t new, it goes way back to 2013.

Adding to his list of achievements, other than being a top skateboarder, he is also a part of a music band. His music band debuted in 2013, and is known as ‘Bad Things.’ That time was the golden era for his band.

Shaun played the role of guitarist in the band and the other members include former singer Davis LeDuke, Augustana, Anthony Sanudo, and former drummer and vocalist Lena Zawaideh. Moreover, ‘Bad Things’ have also signed for records with Warner Bros. Records.

‘Bad Things’ began on a very high note

Shaun White and his band, ‘Bad Things’ had a miraculous start to their journey. Their first digital single, ‘Anybody’ was a big hit. This was followed by a whole album which included twelve tracks with two bonus tracks.

Unfortunately, in 2015, David LeDuke left the group on positive terms, but that eventually ended up concluding the band.

After the group ended, Shaun once again began to focus completely on his snowboarding career and won more medals later in his career.

After snowboarding or skateboarding, music was the next destination he loved. After the collapse of his band, he has not been much involved in the professional music world. But, once an artist, always an artist.

Recently, Shaun tweeted an adorable pic of his childhood, with a caption of a famous Taylor Swift song, ‘August.’

‘August’ is a captivating song, sung by the recognized singer, ‘Taylor Swift’. She is an American pop and country music, singer-songwriter. Moreover, five of her songs have topped the Billboard Top 100.

Shaun White has been an avid follower of music from the beginning and it can’t be taken out of him even though he is not in a band. Music stays with him and that reflects in his social life as well.
