Shaun White is arguably the most well-known and successful snowboarder of all time. White is an inventive and creative snowboarder, always pushing the limits of what is possible in the sport. Following suit beyond the ice, he has also become a successful businessman. The legend launched his own active lifestyle brand called Whitespace in 2022.

White and his older brother, Jesse, collaborated on the brand together. Whitespace, an active lifestyle brand has a mission to create products that are both fashionable and useful. In an interview recently he revealed how his brother and he work together creatively and how just like normal siblings they would have different opinions, which would often lead to Shaun calling his brother’s ideas “lame”.

Shaun White opens up about his relationship with his brother

In a recent interview with Sporitco News on YouTube, titled, “Shaun White on the Importance of Saving, Life After Snowboarding” on which he opened up about his relationship with his brother. He stated that Jesse was always his driving force and someone he looked up to, since he was seven years older than Shaun White. Jesse White always seemed to be ahead of the trends. Shaun would find them not cool, till a few years later he would try it and be amazed. He said, “I’m like no one cares about this. Like oh my god this is so lame Why are you into this? “.

He continued, “And then like two years three years later I’m like this is the coolest”. He also said how his brother has been his biggest influence and sends him music, fashion and other trends to keep him up to date. Jesse also introduced Shaun to snowboarding and skateboarding, and he was there for him to help him design his brand. He mentioned how working with his brother felt like old times saying, “It’s great”.

Whitespace is intended to be a blank canvas for innovation and creativity. As Shaun White’s recent document releases, he has been discussing his life and journey in interviews like this one.

With his girlfriend Nina Dobrev, he also took to Instagram to make a funny reel that showed them playing each other’s roles, White as Dobrev and Dobrev as White to promote their respective films.
