As the 4th of July is here, Americans are struck with a jovial and celebratory mood. They are enjoying their independence day, something that their forefathers fought hard for and achieved on this day 247 years ago. Even celebrities have joined in by sharing clips from their favorite 4th of July moments in the past, including one of America’s topmost snowboarders. 5-time Olympian Shaun White shared a clip from a special tournament last year, to wish everyone on this special day.
Shaun White is one of the most renowned snowboarders and skateboarders in the US, having won a multitude of X-games gold medals. As 3-time Olympic gold medalist, he also tops the list of American snowboarders in that aspect. Displaying his love for snowboarding one more time, The Flying Tomato shared a clip displaying his skills from the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022.

Shaun White recently took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “Happy 4th of July”. He attached a 5-second clip alongside, which showed him dressed in skiing gear to the brim, a snowboard beneath his feet, and a tunnel-like snowy landscape that became his platform for his snowboarding skills.
The clip White shared was from another Instagram account called Whitespace, which wrote the caption, “Shaun’s bread and butter at the Olympics on his Pro Model by WhiteSpace”. White looked at ease in the snow as ever. The clip also showed banners of Beijing 2022 around the arena, indicating it was a video from last year when Shaun White participated in the Winter Olympics there.

The last time he competed in the Winter Olympics was in Beijing last year
White did not have as much success at the Beijing Winter Olympics as he did in the previous editions. It was his 5th Winter Olympics overall, and ‘The Future Boy’ came 4th in the halfpipe event in the competition. During the tournament, White also announced that it was going to be his last Olympics, and later on, confirmed that it was his last competition overall.

However, his love for the sport was still alive and so was his keenness for exploring new places and adventures. Earlier this year in January, White, his girlfriend Nina Dobrev, and his friends Aaron Paul, Jared Leto, Lewis Hamilton, and others, took a trip down to Antarctica. They explored various places and had an adventurous tour overall. The thrill-seek was unreal for White alongside his friends. Today, White doesn’t compete professionally anymore but has never stopped snowboarding altogether.
