An American household name, Carli Lloyd, is a celebrated professional soccer player. Having been named two-time FIFA Player of the Year, Carli has led the U.S.W.N.T to many crucial victories. The elegance and dominance that she brings to the field are unmatched. Scoring the winning goal in the gold medal match in the 2008 World Cup, Carli became a name synonymous with soccer.

A true American, Carli can not help but remember the horrors of 9/11. Joining with a million others, the ex-professional player posted an emotional Tweet to remember the fallen!
Carli recalls the horror
9/11 is a date engraved in everyone’s mind. The fall of the ‘Twin Towers’ made the world gasp in horror. Remembering the countless lives lost that day and the people who acted as “first responders,” Carli posted a tweet.

Mentioning the date, she wrote, “Remembering all those who lost their lives and the brave first responders that helped to serve.” Captioning the tweet further, she added the hashtag “#wewillneverforget.”

It’s been over two decades, but the horrors are still fresh. Like Teqball ambassador Carli, many more can not get past the day. Undeniably the time has passed, but the ‘dark’ memories and ‘horror’ remain!
Nonetheless, one has to move forward, even with painful memories. One can only hope for a better future!

What’s in store for Carli Lloyd?
Having retired from the field in 2021, the attacking midfielder is busy promoting the game of soccer to the mass. Devoting her time to the growth of sports, she is now with Teqball as their official ambassador. She is also the first female to join Teqball as their representative.

With 17 years of professional experience, Carli played her final soccer season with Gotham FC. Post-retirement, she rejoined the franchise as an investor. She has always led the team from the front and has become the only American to score in four different Olympics.
