“I Think Undereating a Little Bit”- Megan Rapinoe’s Underwhelming Food Diet Changed When She Met WNBA Legend Sue Bird

Megan Rapinoe, the soccer legend, and Sue Bird, the WNBA G.O.A.T started dating in 2017. Fair to say, they found their missing pieces in each other. They have been extremely supportive of each other through thick and thin. Besides, the power couple has changed the narrative of a gay couple by the way they have portrayed their relationship and showed love for one another.

The moments and posts they share on social media have normalized the idea of two women athletes being in a relationship. The couple has opened up several times about the great connection they have. In an interview in May this year, Megan opened up about being influenced by Sue which helped her to change her eating habits.

Megan Rapinoe alters her diet pattern upon Sue’s advise

Megan has been instrumental in the back-to-back World Cup wins in 2015 and 2019. The legendary soccer player deems herself lucky to share her life with Bird. It goes without saying that Bird has a huge influence on her.

In the interview, the host asked her, “What did sue teach you about conditioning to hit this next level?” Rapinoe responded spontaneously stating, “It was a lot in my diet.” Furthermore, she clarified she wasn’t eating bad.

Megan’s take on calling them Seattle’s power couple

The interviewer asked her what Megan thought about the title ‘Seattle’s power couple.’ She replied, “So weird.” Moreover, she added that they were proud of the impact that they have created as a gay couple, being female athletes.

Considering their illustrious careers, she stated that both of them have their particular standing in their sport and “ I think elevates both of us and I think.. in turn elevates the things that we’re talking about” However, she still found it weird calling them the power couple because “we’re just like..I’m just me and she’s just her.
