Investments are subjected to risk because the returns are possibly never guaranteed. However, when the investment is done in health, the possibility of good results multiplies by several times. This was the case that King Kelly supported when he was recently featured in a YouTube video. When surfing legend Kelly Slater spoke with Jason Gilbert in an interview, he advocated investing in health as it is the most important aspect of life.
While talking about the importance of health, the legend recalled the time of his career when he was getting used to focusing on his diet. As Slater began very early, he wasn’t always aware of the importance of food in fitness. However, he came to know all that very soon, with just an investment of a dollar.
It’s not about the cost but the value it adds to the quality of life

Many times, the cheapest things are the ones that add the value of millions in our lives. Slater recalled something similar that he bought around the age of 23. The time when the legend was learning about fitting into a good diet plan and fitness for his career. First of all, Slater admitted, that “One dollar’s worth is now like $400,000,000.”
Slater recalled the day as he said, “I was waiting for my food to be delivered. And a cassette tape by a guy named Dr. Joel Wallach…” Further, as he introduced Dr. Wallach, Slater continued, “He studied longevity in people and animals and he had done 3000 autopsies on humans and 17,000 animal autopsies in his career. And he discovered, basically, no one dies of old age. It just doesn’t happen, and he explained all these nutrients that you don’t ever hear about that are absolutely important that you need to replenish.”

Slater added, “Especially as an athlete, because you burn so many more calories and so many things out of your body. So, he explained all these diseases and how they were connected to different deficiencies in your body and that one-dollar cassette tape literally changed my life.”
Kelly Slater’s long career is proof of how seriously he invests in his health and himself. Competing at 50, in a sport that is considered one of the toughest to participate in, is all the returns from his investment in his health over the years.

The consistent urge to extend the historical career
Kelly Slater has had a career of more than three decades. Slater’s consistent practice of surfing, health and fitness has contributed immensely to keeping his passion alive. His strongest suit is his adaptability. Whether it be the 90s or even now, Slater walks along with the latest trends for his health and fitness. As he grows older, it is difficult to have the same diet to stay strong and fit as he used to have in his 20s. The changes in the body have to be dealt with similar changes in what we do. Similarly, Slater transformed into a vegan in the previous year to receive better results with his diet.
Moreover, Slater’s belief to invest in his health has played a massive role in his career as well. Indeed, the one dollar has immensely affected his thoughts and vision about diet as he went through all these years with excellent health and fitness.
