A harrowing wipeout and a surfer in love with the sea

Florence was captured in a wipeout at a notorious surf break in a recent video that sent shockwaves through the surfing community. He posted the video to his social media platforms captioning it, ” Send Help”.? In it, he is seen surfing along a towering wave before being devoured by its immense power. Gasps and concern ripple through viewers as the wave crashes over him, burying him momentarily. Thankfully Florence resurfaces, breathing new life into the hearts of onlookers.

This isn?t the first time Nathan has experienced a wipeout. At Jaws, earlier this year he took off on a nasty double-up. During the ride, he got held up at the top for an instant, air-dropped down the wave, and then sent tumbling. The incident resulted in him injuring his lower back. However, his thrill for adrenaline keeps bringing him back to his favorite sport.

The 29-year-old was born in Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii, into a surfing family. Alexandra, Nathan’s mother, and a former surfer, skater, and dirt biker was instrumental in instilling a love of the sport in Nathan and his two brothers.
