Viral Video Shows Rescue Operation for Two Surfers Stuck in Bad Weather on Side of Cliff

Surfing accidents are quite common at several surfing spots. However, luckily a potential surfing accident was prevented by a team of firefighters. In a recent incident, two men got stuck in a rip tied while surfing. Thankfully, they received the help of the firefighters who immediately arranged a setup to save the men. 

The official Twitter page of Cal Fire CZU shared a video of rescuing two surfing men who were badly stuck in a rip tide at Montara State Beach. Nevertheless, the source also revealed how the firefighters created the setup to save the men. 

The surfers were trapped on a cliff

As per the source, the National Weather Service issued a warning for a gale watch at 9 p.m. on Sunday. However, the two men who were surfing got badly stuck at a huge cliff at Montara State Beach. It was eight miles north of Half Moon Bay. The video uploaded by Cal Fire CZU displays windy weather and choppy waters in which the surfers were stuck. Of course, in such a difficult situation it was inconvenient for the men to help themselves. Luckily, they received massive help from the firefighters. 

The rescue team reached the location at the right time and prepared a professional setup, to safely rescue the stuck men. The video showed a number of firefighters scattered over the huge cliff planning the safe way to help the men come up. They had donned harnesses to get down to the cliff and pulled the two surfers eventually.

Indeed, the weather was quite windy and coastal waters flowed in a rush making the rescue operation tough. However, the firefighters were successful in rescuing the men. Moreover, they later revealed that the men were saved with no injuries.

There are not just stories of surfers getting rescued, it has been vice-versa also. Recently, a group of teenage surfers became a talking point for saving a tourist woman in the sea.

A few days back, a group of teen boys was returning in their boat when they spotted something unusual in the deep water. One of the boys revealed to Yahoo Australia, “floating out in a rip about 100 meters away”. The group figured out that a lady was drowning due to the strong rip currents.

Without wasting a second, they padded out on their boats to reach the woman and saved her from a near-death encounter. After rescuing her at Woolgoga beach in New South Wales, the authorities became more careful with tourists visiting new places and unknown waters.
