The Baltimore Bullet Michael Phelps and his wife Nicole Phelps are on an exciting journey once more. The couple who tied the knot in 2016 are parents to Boomer, 7, Beckett, 5, and Maverick, 3. However, this past month, baby rumors swirled around the internet about the couple expecting a fourth member.

This all started when the swimming legend Phelps added a carousel post to Instagram captioned, “What a weekend!!!” However, the couple never confirmed the news online, despite many obvious signs pointing to a pregnancy reveal. And now, finally, days and weeks after speculation, the couple rumored to be pregnant is adding the fourth child to their clan and has finally confirmed the good news.

In her latest Instagram post, Nicole Phelps shared a heartwarming message on Instagram. It was the dynamic couple’s anniversary.  Along with celebrating 7 years of marriage, and wishing her Olympian husband she revealed the exciting update writing, “A memory from Oct 29 over the last 7 years with you Michael Phelps (I couldn’t find 2019s pic 🤭) Happy Anniversary to my best friend, hubby and partner thru life ❤️ I couldn’t have asked for anyone better! For those that are wondering… yes! we’re expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024 💙💙💙💙”.

In her post, she shared a wholesome slide of images in a carousel. The first showed the couple smiling from ear to ear at a Baltimore Ravens NFL game while Nicole held her baby bump lovingly. Then followed happy memories of the couple surrounded by their children, a picture from when they were younger, and also an endearing picture from their wedding day. This happy news finally let fans breathe a sigh of relief as the speculations were finally put to rest.

How the rumours began

Back on September 25, 2023, Michael Phelps hard-launched the pregnancy rumors online when he posted a carousel of images on Instagram captioned, “What a weekend!!!” In the images, Nicole cleverly hid behind her three boys to avoid showing her bump. However, as the following pictures emerged, the good news became quite evident, with one picture of the couple posing at a USC football game with the baby bump on full display as Mrs. Phelps stunned in a white shirt dress

Even at the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) Induction Ceremony later on, when he received the prestigious honor, Phelps made the announcement to the audience after receiving the award from his coach and mentor, Bob Bowman.
