Amidst her successful career transition, recent events have raised concerns in Rooney’s life. Giaan Rooney shared in an Instagram post recently that, she was urgently referred to a dermatologist, and underwent skin removal procedures for testing. In the post said, “I’ve just had 3 biopsies’ done – one on my lip, one on my collarbone & one on my scalp (under my hair) to see what level of sun damage I am dealing with… I’m a bit scared to be honest.”  Although Rooney has had moles removed and spots frozen off in the past, her lip is the area that worries her the most. She first speculated that it might be a cold sore or an infection similar to the one she had on her face a few months earlier.

Her worries increased when her doctor promptly advised her to see a dermatologist for additional testing. Rooney is now anxiously awaiting the outcomes of her biopsies and is hoping for the best. Highlighting the potential consequences of sun damage despite her diligent sunscreen use, Rooney shared awareness about sun damage and its effect on the skin. She reminds others to prioritize their health and underscores the importance of proactive measures in maintaining well-being.
