The most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, is now retired. But he has three beautiful sons, Boomer, Maverick, and Beckett, to look forward to teaching. Among them, the eldest took a liking to swimming at a very young age. Boomer Robert Phelps was born on May 5, 2016. 2-year-old little Boomer once stunned the world when his antics were caught on camera. In a video that surfaced on the internet in 2018, little Boomer, gleaming with joy, was seen trying to mimic his father’s actions while swimming.

In an interview with Access, the legendary swimmer once discussed how his legacy was shaping up. The proud father laughed as he explained how Boomer “gets it” as he acknowledged his son’s swimming talents.

The G.O.A.T of swimming, Michael Phelps, spoke about his journey being a father of two in the 2018 interview. Boomer, who was just two years old at that time, was already a fan of the pool. In the video clip, he is seen practicing his paddling.

“His kick is absolutely insane,” chuckled Phelps. He also spoke about how Boomer was developing a knack for being around water. “He always wants to be in the pool, he wants to be playing with the ball or riding around the car…” said Michael. It was quite wholesome to see a father’s legacy shaping up right next to him.
