The anticipation surrounding the 2024 Olympics reached new heights last week when Nike revealed Team USA’s uniforms event in Paris. Against a backdrop of debates and doubts about Nike’s gears for comfort and agility, Adidas’ current top track star, Noah Lyles, weighed in to share his thoughts about the Nike Track kits.
On 14th April, after clinching victory at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational, Noah Lyles took to his Instagram to share his stills clicked on Percy Beard Track at the James G. Pressly Stadium. Lyles proudly displayed his striking yellow Adidas tracksuit in a captivating three-image carousel post from Gainesville, Florida, captured by the talented photographer Gabriella Aulisio.
As the sprinter often takes the spotlight by donning his customized Adidas outfits, he once again made it to the headlines by making a bold statement with his Adidas fit ahead of the Olympics. The half-front zipped jumpsuit, adorned with the iconic brand logo, accented with three black stripes on the sides, and completed with white Adidas spikes, perfectly complemented his bulked-up physique. Accompanying the images was a powerful caption: “And with that, the Olympic year has begun.”

Earlier in March this year, it was reported that Noah Lyles signed a non-disclose agreement with Adidas and it is the “richest contract in the sport of track and field” after Usain Bolt (with PUMA- more than $10 million annually) and is set to last till the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
For Lyles, it is always about an “outfit that has that vibe,” and certainly, with Adidas, he was able to find his mojo yet again through his yellow Nike gear. But what made Adidas stand out for the ‘three-peat’ champion?

After turning pro as a high schooler in 2016, Lyles’ interest in clothes became an integral part of his identity and value as an athlete. Hence, when the Adidas deal came in, Lyles found his haven within the brand. Conceding this, he once said, “When I first signed with Adidas in 2016 along with my brother, Josephus, that was like a dream come true for us. And today is just a continuation of that childhood dream.”
Adidas gave him a vision to style according to his needs. As the ‘3 peat’ star himself once stated, “Adidas is not only taking care of me and my family at a level I could only imagine, but they understand me and my vision.” Soon, he started customizing his outfits, finding his style, and building his wardrobe. Similarly, back in 2022, he donned an Adidas x Gucci suit for a photoshoot and flaunted a perfect outfit off the tracks.
