Despite Ranked 3rd, Noah Lyles Gets Fueled by American Actor To Beat Usain Bolt’s 15 Year Strong Record

Noah Lyles, the current world champion in both the 100m and 200m events, is now aiming to make new history in the Paris Olympics. Jamaican retired sprinter Usain Bolt’s record in 100m and 200 m sprints remains the goal for many athletes in the track and field realm. Noah Lyles, sitting in the third fastest position in 200m, is no different. Recently, he made an open claim to break that record.

After this, Noah Lyles’ aspirations received a boost from the entertainment realm lately. Hollywood actor Eamonn Walker has come forth to encourage him to overtake this well-built 15-year record.

As Noah Lyles’ world record claim blew up the track world in debate, NBC Sports Director of Social Media, Travis Miller, also took to his X handle to share Eamonn Walker’s statement over Lyles’s record. Along with sharing a video, Travis captions the post as “This video! LFG 😤 #ParisOlympics “Noah Lyles is chasing lightning” ⚡️”.

In the post, Eamonn Walker, known for his movies Oz (1997), Unbreakable (2000), and Lord of War (2005), motivated, the 6x World champion, Noah Lyles. He asserts “Noah Lyles is chasing lightning, 12 hundredths of a second (0.12) separates Lyles best from history’s best. 12 hundredths of a second, a tiny fraction of time is monumental. American records and world championships, Noah Lyles has them. But to overcome 12 hundredths of a second, Noah is looking ahead.”

Walker further asserts, “He is on a high-speed journey to catch the uncatchable. Running towards Paris, towards gold, towards Bolt…” Referring to Bolt, he says, “This Summer, a legend is watching…and so is the rest of the world…”

The greatest sprinter of all time, Usain astonished the world, back in the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, by making the 19.19-second record in the 200m. Since then, athletes have been trying hard to come close to surpassing this mark. But it still stands. Let us take a look at how Noah is targeting ‘everything’ heading towards Paris.

Racing towards history at the Paris Olympics

Olympic bronze medalist, Noah Lyles stated, “Usain Bolt was the fastest man ever to do it,” before adding with a grin, “And soon, it’ll be me.” Apart from that, Noah also expressed his confidence in chasing his Olympic gold dream. A few days back, he stated, “We’re coming after everything, all the Olympic medals. I don’t care who won these, it’s mine.”

Noah Lyles has a personal best time of 9.83 seconds in the 100 meters, which he claimed during the previous year’s world championships. He then won the 200 meters for the third time in a row. But, Reaching Bolt’s world record of  19.19 will need perseverance and progress. He is also behind the Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake (19.26). It seems that the craze has taken over other realms as well!
