In a highly anticipated episode of the famous “Sprint Talk” on his YouTube channel, Noah Lyles sat down with the host of Total Running Productions. The title of the video read, Unveiling the face of Total Running Productions and The Climate of Track and Field.” In the video, Noah Lyles proceeded to introduce the man behind the YouTube channel that features running documentaries, athlete analysis, and behind-the-scenes content, Andrew Martin. Lyles kicked off the conversation by expressing his admiration for Martin’s work, noting his expertise and passion for track and field since he began following the channel in 2017.

As the conversation flowed, Noah Lyles also shared how he recommended Martin for a position at New Balance, saying, We at least have to have one person who just knows their stats, who has the personality, who is willing to know every event. I mean, you have me watching marathon videos. I do not care about the marathon; I promise you, I don’t. Yet here I am listening to 5K split times, mile split times, you know what temperature is best for a marathon.” This revelation came as a surprise and showed a different side of Noah Lyles as he gushed about his admiration for Andrew Martin. And this bold claim comes just days after Lyles made waves by opening his 2024 track season.

At the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on February 4, 2024, Noah Lyles took Boston by storm in the men’s 60-meter race. The three-time 200-meter world champion and Olympic star Lyles surged ahead, overtaking Jamaica’s Ackeem Blake by one-hundredth of a second, and ran the 60-meter dash in 6.44 seconds, significantly beating his previous personal best of 6.51 seconds.
