On 7th September, amidst all the thrill around the ongoing Diamond League spree, Track Spice dropped an adorable update on its X handle, and made many heads turn its way. Interestingly, the Twitter post pulled off the curtains from Fraser-Pryce’s childhood picture.

In the still, the Jamaican can be seen donning a blue shirt with golden hoops in her ears, all while posing for the lens. Captioning the post, Track Spice penned a two word acknowledgement: “Baby Shelly.” More so, the picture dates back to her childhood heydays when she was around 4-5 years old.

Interestingly, the Kingston-native has been making headlines since the day she set her foot on the tracks. She was just 10 when she started her sprinting spree, and ever since then she has been a force to be reckoned with. As a high-school student, she raced 100m and clocked an incredible timeframe of 11.57 seconds-an incredible feat for a 16-year-old girl.

Hence, the Jamaican legend has been an epitome of millions across the globe, as many track and field enthusiasts took inspiration from the sprinting icon and soared high in their vocation. Nonetheless, one of Fraser-Pryce’s staunch admirers is none other than Sha’Carri Richardson.
