Noah Lyles, renowned for his blazing speed and charismatic presence on the track, has never been shy about his passion for manga and anime. In a candid confession to Olympics.com, he revealed, “I was staying up late—and this is when I was in middle school—and I’m reading this from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. when I was supposed to be sleeping.”
He even shared with the Washington Post, drawing parallels between his aspirations and those of Goku from Dragon Ball Z, saying that in Goku’s final stage, or form, his hair turns silver or gray, which means peak readiness. This led him to dye his hair silver for the 2019 World Championships. However, despite his childhood inspiration from Goku, Noah Lyles sadly will not realize his cherished 2022 aspiration.
