Usain Bolt has been recently in the headlines for suffering financial fraud, of more than $12 million, by a private investment firm in Jamaica. However, Bolt has always been a contributor to society, and his money issues are not new. In 2016, Usain Bolt was found in a problem with his money as well. Although at that time he was intentionally giving away his money to the needful people. However, the police had to intervene in that matter to stop Bolt from doing the same.

Usain Bolt has always been a kind-hearted person. Bolt has seen all aspects of life, from having very less to having everything. And he never backed off from helping someone in need. But the world is not so simple. Henceforth, he was fooled several times in his life. Once, the police had to stop his act of giving money out as it was causing violence among his fellow Jamaican people. 

Bolt revealed that he used to set aside USD 30,000 every year to donate to extremely needy people. But he had to stop it after the police ordered.

During an interview in 2016, Bolt said, “I train on a university campus and what happened was the students I’d helped would get into fights with the people who hadn’t got anything. Word would spread and there was a lot of jealousy. It became an issue and the police kept getting called out to sort out the fights, so in the end they asked me stop doing it.”

Usain Bolt suffers a $12.7 million loss in 2023

At the beginning of 2023, Usain Bolt noticed an unusual activity in his investment account where he was just left with $12,000 instead of $12.8 million. The legal team of attorneys from Bolt’s side is looking into the matter. On the other side, Jamaica’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) is investing the fraud at the same time.

It is an extremely tough time for the legendary sprinter, but his team is trying hard to get all his money back. They have issued a legal letter to the SSL to recover and return Bolt’s invested money, which is missing in ten days, or they will move ahead with further legal action.
