Weeks After World Indoors, USA Track Stars Tara Davis-Woodhall and Nikki Hiltz Get ‘Proper Medal Ceremony’

The 2024 World Indoor Marathon in Glasgow ignited the global competitions ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, raising the bar high. The three-day event saw the best of the best battle it out at the Commonwealth Arena, fighting for their well-deserved world titles. Among the array of track stars, Tara Davis-Woodhall shone, clinching the gold medal with a remarkable jump of 7.07 meters.

Alongside Tara stood Nikki Hiltz, renowned as the first non-binary athlete to seize a U.S. track and field title, securing the silver medal in the women’s 1500m with a personal best time of 4:02.32. Despite their victories weeks ago, the two finally stepped onto the podium for their ‘Proper Medal Ceremony’ in a special initiative.

Nikki Hiltz recently took to their Instagram stories to share a special post with her dear friend and fellow track and field athlete, Tara Davis-Woodhall. They posted a picture of the two celebrating their gold and silver medal wins from the 2024 World Indoor Championships at the “FURTHER” ultramarathon event by Lululemon at Lake Cahuilla. In the caption, Hiltz penned, “Because @taarra and my event ended so late in Glasgow, the stadium was pretty much empty during our medal ceremonies. I feel like a couple of days ago we finally got a proper ceremony with our @lululemon fam.”

Nikki Hiltz and Tara Davis-Woodhall are two staunch advocates for women who have shared a wholesome friendship and are also the brand ambassadors for Lululemon Athletica, a Canadian-American multinational athletic brand. This wholesome moment unfolded at the “FURTHER” ultramarathon organized by the brand, where the duo assumed the role of ultimate cheerleaders.

On March 6, just before International Women’s Day, Lululemon organized an ultramarathon specifically for women called FURTHER. Ten female athletes from different parts of the world are taking part in this ultramarathon at Lake Cahuilla. They come from diverse backgrounds and have different experiences in running.

Among them are notable figures such as Camille Herron, a world record holder in ultrarunning, and Mirna Valerio, an ultrarunner and author; Montana Farrah-Seaton; Stefanie Flippin; Kayla Jeter; Xiaomeng Jia; Yoon Young Kang; Vriko Kwok; Devon Yanko; and Leah Yingling.

The motto behind FURTHER is shared by Nikki Neuburger, Chief Brand Officer, Lululemon, who said, “When supported with innovation and resources, we are confident women will continue to redefine the limits of what’s possible.” As the race commenced, Nikki Hiltz and Tara Davis-Woodhall cheered on the women with full gusto, witnessing them shatter barriers and redefine athleticism with every stride.
