Simone Biles recently revealed that she has often been mistaken for the US gymnast, Gabby Douglas.

Earlier today, Simone Biles tweeted about a frustrating recurring incident. Biles revealed people often mistake her for her fellow American gymnast, Gabby Douglas. While she might’ve taken it lightly in her rookie days, it happening years after achieving her level of success, baffles the gymnast. The soon-to-be bride tweeted, “still getting called gabby douglas is crazy to me.”

For the unversed, Gabby Douglas, a.k.a. Gabrielle Christiana Victoria Douglas, is also an artistic gymnast like Biles. But unlike Biles’ 4’8″ stature, 27-year-old Douglas is 5’2″ tall. Their height difference is the biggest and the simplest aspect that puts the two apart. Therefore, it is natural for Biles to wonder how people can mistake their identities.
