

HBO recently released the trailer to the documentary named ‘Until the Wheels Fall Off’, celebrating the career of the legendary skateboarder, Tony Hawk. Hawk is one of the greatest skateboarders of all time. The lanky teenager set foot on the vertical ramps and went on to become a legend of the sport. However, in his latest documentary, Hawk opens upon a rather unpleasant time in his career and how he made past it.

The trailer from HBO was truly intriguing, as Hawk expressed what he felt during the early stages of his career. From the first glimpse, it is certain the documentary will unravel the untold secrets of Hawk’s skateboarding journey.

Tony Hawk and how he came to be
Tony spoke about the jeers he received when he went skateboarding and felt “misplaced” during competitions. With insane determination and passion, he wanted to prove something and shut down his naysayers.
From there, the journey of Tony Hawk began. Many people spoke about some of his interesting characteristics. Notably, one, in particular, spoke about the “crowd being pretty rough” towards him, while another stated that “he skated as if he was being operated by a puppeteer.”

When is the release date?
Directed by Sam Jones, the documentary will debut on HBO and HBO Max on April 5th, 2022, capturing the legacy of Hawk. From being booed in his initial days to being crowned as the legend of the game, his journey will indeed be worth watching.
