Similarly, leading tech provider, Sakar International revoked a list of helmet companies marking them unsafe for utilization as they are probable of causing head injuries, per Fox 7. Surprisingly, Hawk’s multi-purpose helmets were one of them. Let’s find out what ruled them out.

Why are Tony Hawk helmets unsafe?

As per an article by Fox 7, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released a report on the 19th of January recalling three helmet brands, namely, Credhedz Lizard Helmets, Crayola Dry Erase Helmets, and Tony Hawk Multi-Purpose Helmets along with a descriptive section stating the grounds on the same.

Additionally, the report explicitly specified that the helmets do not fulfill the “positional stability” and “retention system” criteria of the country’s CPSC federal safety guidelines precisely, for bicycle helmets. Thus, the headgears pose greater risks of head injury in case of an accident or crash.
