American pro skateboarder, Tony Hawk was certainly the coolest kid of his time. The skater prodigy is a legendary torchbearer of the sport. Moreover, he has rolled his way to making and breaking records, one of them being the umatchable ‘900’ skateboarding move. He was the only one to perform it, twice. 

Fast forward to present, the 54-year-old skater was seen having the time of his life at a show with the 90s rock band, Goldfinger in California, per an Instagram video. Reportedly, Hawk was recovering from a prior injury but that didn’t seem to come in the way of his dashing performance. Let’s find out more about the fun event.

In a recent Instagram video posted by 23punk, Hawk sang and grooved enthusiastically on-stage while on a rock show with Goldfinger. Initially, he went solo with the famous track Superman as he screamed like a rockstar; was later accompanied by the lead singer, John Feldmann.

The Birdman had sustained severe injuries around the early part of 2022. He was recovering from his femur fracture due to a skating misadventure. However, he soon recovered and was gradually stepping back on the board, per reports. Back to the fun affair, the post’s caption read, “Tony Hawk + Goldfinger ♥️ Last night at House of Blues in Anaheim, California (1/14/23)”

Additionally, the video didn’t go unnoticed by the star athlete. He acknowledged the night with a rather hilarious comment. Hawk wrote, “ thought it was karaoke night…? Thanks for indulging me @goldfingermusic.” Well, his sense of humor is what the whole world looks forward to.

According to an article by People, Hawk reached the 2022 Oscars polished in a Gucci suit and a cane. He was recovering from an injury he endured while skating. Moreover, he had previously addressed attending the prime affair in one of his tweets. He wrote, “If being in every Jackass movie, xXx, Police Academy 4, and Sharknado 5 doesn’t qualify me to present at the Oscars, then your taste in movies needs readjusting.”

If that wasn’t hilarious enough, he further spoke about the Oscars in another Instagram post. He said, “And thanks to Gucci for providing clothes to my wife and I for the occasion since we don’t have a closet full of Oscar-appropriate apparel.”

Evidently, being cool is just something Tony Hawk can’t dismiss. No wonder the world is so fond of him. Moreover, his contributions to the field of skateboarding along with diminishing stereotypes surrounding age, have been phenomenal.
