And a few months back, the Norwegian racer took all the plaudits from his fans by talking highly about Mikaela’s skiing skills after she defeated him in a ski race.

In 2022, the couple made an appearance in an interview with an Austrian Sports channel, Servus TV on Sport. Mikaela and Kilde profoundly chatted about their relationship with the host. At one point, the host recalled one of Shiffrin’s quotes, “always be fast than the boys”, and asked her to elaborate more on it. On this, the Norwegian reminisced about a ski race in which Shiffrin defeated him through her fast ski racing prowess.

Kilde recalled their skiing match in Chile. He cited that during the match, Mikaela, “was going first, and I was going after her”. The 30-year-old then Kilde, praised her girlfriend’s skiing skills by asserting, “That’s good skiing”. Interestingly, the American skier defeated her boyfriend, as Kilde stated, “she beat me”.
