Eileen Feng Gu, a freestyle skier made many heads turn her way by dominating the podium of the winter Olympics. And now, to celebrate her momentous triumph, the Outside magazine gave her a sincere homage.

Recently, the Chinese-American Skier appeared in an interview with Outside magazine, where she profoundly talked about her journey of becoming the youngest Olympian to win the gold medal in skiing. The magazine paid tribute to the young Olympian in a rather interesting way.

Outside gave Eileen Gu a perfect homage

In its December 2022 issue, the Outside magazine gave the 19-year-old a special mention on their cover, where she can be seen in a skiing outfit. Moreover, the young Olympian is also the face of this year’s ‘Outsiders’ theme of the magazine.

Every year, Outside features various visionaries “who forever changed the world“, through their outstanding contribution in their respective fields. However, in this year’s ‘Outsiders’ theme, the magazine celebrates “The 10 Biggest Icons, Visionaries, + Change makers of the Year”. With the cover page dedicated to Gu, the magazine also paid its reverence to 11 other athletes, who made their presence known through their striking flair in their respective sports.

All about Eileen Feng Gu

Eileen Feng Gu is a Chinese-American Freestyle Skier. The 19-year-old athlete gained widespread recognition after winning two gold medals in Big Air and Half Pipe events respectively, at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Moreover, Gu became the first freestyle skier to bag 4 consecutive Ski world cups. 

However, before becoming a well-regarded Olympian, she worked as a model and endorsed a wide range of Chinese brands. The Asian sensation also often indulges in philanthropy. All in all, Eileen Gu is truly a staunch champion through and through. With this, we wish the young Olympian only the best in all her future endeavors.
