America’s Favorite Snowboarder Proves His Endurance Knows No Bounds With a Skinny Dip in One of Coldest Region

American snowboarder Shaun White aka Flying Tomato is more than an amazing athlete. He is the only snowboarder to have won three gold medals in the Olympics. Meanwhile, being fearless is just another regular thing he does to pump up his adrenaline. Post his retirement, White along with his wife has been on a traveling feat and they can’t seem to keep calm!

On a similar note, the California native was seen jumping into the freezing waters of Antarctica in an Instagram post, giving off summer vibes. Wondering how that turned out? Let’s find out.

According to a recent Instagram update posted by White on his official account, he abruptly dived into the ice-cold Antarctica waters. Shockingly, he even swam to a distance while his fellows counted his strokes. Evidently, the Olympian was encouraged by them moments before his 360-degree flip into the sea.

“11 strokes,” one of White’s fellows challenged. Well, he did 12. However, while swimming his way back to the boat, he did stutter. Given the extreme climate, it is almost humanly impossible to even attempt such a feat. The Flying Tomato did it, anyway!

The American snowboarder retired in 2022 after the Beijing Olympics. With a legendary career of 20 years, he reflected on his priorities. Apparently, his injuries and health concerns played a significant role that paved the way for such an upsetting decision. As per sources, White announced his decision during the Olympics.

He said, “… I think this will be my last — well, it will be my last competition. Which is pretty special too.” However, White is not easy to keep away from the snow. Hence, in a recent Instagram post, he disclosed his current whereabouts. Additionally, the caption read, “Guy retires from winter sports only to vacation in Antarctica Happy 2023 everyone!!”
