The Board of Trustees of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation do not find themselves making it into People magazine very often. To be featured on the cover page of the celebrated magazine hardly comes to anyone’s mind. But one of their colleagues from Utah has achieved the rare distinction of being on People’s cover page. 

The American weekly has showcased some of the popular faces on its cover since its birthtime, 1974. Throughout the years, the magazine has been keeping the selection measures high to garland its cover page. But this time, it has found Patrick Dempsey who proves to be a pure blend of many kinds. Making to the trustee board of extreme sports in the likes of Ski and Snowboard happens to be just one of those.

Patrick Dempsey has notched several high points in his acting career, spanning almost 37 years. Fans frequently see The Grey’s Anatomy actor participating in various pro-am events, showcasing that his focus on motorsports extends beyond the driver’s seat. Rumors even suggest that if given the chance to spend ample time behind the wheel, he would gladly bid his acting career adieu.

So, for a man of such lofty passion, only the sky is the limit for achievement. The Dempsey racing-Proton driver proved this once when he was selected as a member of the board of trustees in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Foundation. Getting on the respected chair in 2020, Dempsey still performs the role slated for him.

However, it would be outright wrong to think that his popularity on the silver screen secured him the position. On the icy terrain, Patrick ensures that he dedicates most of his winter to skiing. His Olympic dream took root at the Maine High School State Slalom Championship, a competition widely regarded as a stepping stone for future Olympic skiers

The People’s Sexiest Man Alive finds “passion” to drive him all along  

After finding his place on the national board, the “McDreamy” from Grey’s Anatomy glorified his dream-come-true moment. On the subject, he mentioned, “I’ve been a passionate, lifelong skier and it was a childhood dream to make the U.S. Ski Team. I am excited to now be part of the team behind the team and support these athletes in their incredible endeavors”, said after he became a member of the board of trustees, according to U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

So, from that viewpoint, it must be clear that the man keeps his passion and duty in the same wrap.
