Shaun White has had a truly legendary snowboarding career, and he’s still going strong. Despite having competed in four Winter Olympics, White will appear in qualifying for his fifth games this December. The three-time Olympic gold medalist will hope for gold again but admitted that it would be tough this time around.
As the Covid-19 pandemic was a cause of trouble for most athletes, White recently talked about a positive influence in his life through the period of preparation. Specifically, his relationship with Canadian actress, Nina Dobrev.

Shaun White opens up on his relationship with Vampire Diaries Star Nina Dobrev
With the Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns in place, White opened up about how Dobrev helped him get through the difficult period. White, himself, is also an actor and has appeared in movies like ‘Friends with Benefits’. His partner, Nina, however, is much more acclaimed on the silver screen with appearances in classics like ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’.
“Nina’s incredible. What an influence on my life. Not only does she run her own show, her own world, companies she’s involved in, things she’s producing, all this stuff going on. She holds me to this same high standard which is so wonderful to have in a partner,” said White.

“That was probably one of the toughest things because I couldn’t get into Canada. I tried. I was turned around. I was like, ‘C’mon I was at the Olympics here. You remember?” said White.
