Being at the forefront of most social issues, both entities have always been vocal in their opinions on different matters. Rapinoe is known for her charity works, raising social awareness, and playing a significant role in women’s empowerment. Notably, when she was recently asked about her favorite personalities, she first mentioned Patrisse Cullors and Nikole Hannah Jones. However, she was quick to talk about her better half as well.

“And I live with an inspiring woman—my fiancée, Sue. [Sue Bird, the WNBA star and five-time Olympic medalist.] You know, I try not to ever take for granted just getting to watch her up close every day, the struggles and the good times. I feel very lucky to be with someone that’s changing the world.”

“Sometimes it’s like: She’s my partner, I know everything about her, we get up and have coffee, yada yada yada, all the normal stuff. But then when I really step back it’s like, “Oh, wow! This is an incredible woman in history that I get to share my life with,” said Rapinoe.

Both of them continue to draw plaudits for her approach to different social issues. Indeed, Bird and Rapinoe share a lovely relationship and help the community in different ways.
