The iconic Carli Lloyd was instrumental to USWNT’s success for a decade. She is a three-time Olympic medalist and a two-time World Cup winner. Moreover, she scored a substantial amount of goals for her club while creating different phases of play on the soccer field. With Lloyd retired, she is having fun right now. In a recent ad for Charlotte’s Web, we see her skiing and enjoying her time while promoting the product.

As she used to ski before, she is happy that she can enjoy her favorite pastime. After having to play for the team for a long time, preparing for games and whatnot, Lloyd is enjoying her time right now.

Carli Lloyd loves skiing

Hence, Lloyd loved she had time to ski after 17 years. She spoke about skiing being peaceful and calm. As she played a team sport before, she stressed teamwork being one factor in winning games. Moreover, she spoke about this as a new beginning, after her life of being a professional soccer player.

“I consider my life after soccer, as a new beginning, really. I have lived the life of playing soccer for 34 years, 17 years professionally, and now I have this second life. Being able to do things that I had put on hold. Not really worried about performing or being the best at my craft. It’s kind of given me this whole new freedom and I’m loving every moment,” said Lloyd.

She compared both skiing and soccer to the positional sense. As for skiing, knowing where you are in the mountains is important to not get lost. On the other hand, players master the craft of positioning to make their lives easier while defending or having goal-scoring opportunities. She posted her skiing video on Twitter and left a comment.

Enjoying her time now, Lloyd can do things she wants. With no competition whatsoever, she is loving her life to the fullest. Retiring with 316 caps for the USWNT, Lloyd was a sensational player for the team. Her soccer intelligence was second to none, knowing where to arrive in critical moments. Some of her goals were marvelous and will forever be etched in the minds of many fans.
