WATCH: USWNT Star Tobin Heath Whacks in a Dramatic Last-Minute Goal to Save Arsenal Against Manchester City

Year by year, Tobin Heath has silently improved as a top-class player. After her stint with Manchester United, she switched sides to play for Arsenal soccer club. Significantly, the USWNT soccer player is an incredible technician on the ball and has one of the best striking abilities in the game. That whole persona and technique were on display when Arsenal played Manchester City recently.

With the Gunners on the top of the table, Heath scored a dramatic equalizer to help Arsenal stay on top of the WSL league. She once again showed her class with a terrific strike. With her, Arsenal has been incredible in the opening stages of the season.

Tobin Heath scored a cracker

After Manchester City took the lead through a controversial goal, when the ball hit the referee, the team looked undone by it. However, they did not lose their determination. With six minutes added to the clock, the goal came in the 92nd minute.

Arsenal player, Beth Mead, intercepted the ball and dribbled her way past two opposition players. As the ball gracefully fell to her teammate, Blackstenius, after a heavy touch, Heath was waiting on the left flank, in position to shoot. The sensational soccer player then lashed on a low drive to the right bottom corner of the goal. This sparked wild celebrations in the stands.

With her entire team happy with her goal, Heath slid down the turf to celebrate her goal. The commentators took the light of the situation and poured in some golden words- “An American dream for Arsenal.” That was Heath’s first WSL goal for Arsenal and what a goal it was.

Megan Rapinoe reacts

The US soccer team’s official Twitter page loved the goal and shared the tweet for her. Likewise, USWNT legend Megan Rapinoe posted a tweet with emoticons showing the triumph. Certainly, Heath’s strike was celebrated all over the world as it helped Arsenal stay at the top. Coming from Manchester United, big things were expected from the soccer star and clearly, she has delivered.
