With the 2022 Winter Olympics set to begin in Beijing next year, many athletes are preparing for the games. One such athlete is Austrian skier, Katharina Liensberger, who is the favorite to win the Alpine Skiing competition. Moreover, specializing in slalom and giant slalom, her performances in the competition are quite incredible. She also revealed her favorite music artists being Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, who inspired her to become a great skier.

Notably, Katharina lives by the slogan ‘Believe. Fly. Achieve’ which she later revealed has played an important part in her career. The term ‘Fly’ is a hit song from Rihanna and Nicki Minaj that was released 10 years ago, and it continues to resonate with most even today. The talented skier talked about the song, and how it motivated her to perform well in her competitions.

“I had this feeling of flying in my head. Yeah, it really worked out! I listen to music at the races, so I love to have often just the music, just one title for one race, and then I can really identify myself with this music on this place. And it’s really great,” said Liensberger.

The sensational Austrian broke out last year ending Mikaela Shiffrin and Petra Vlhova’s dominance in the competition. Her stunning performances led to her first victory in Are, Sweden.

Now, with her famous slogan and artists inspiring her, she is the favorite to win the Winter Olympics competition in February, next year. Like the aforementioned artists, she also loves to play the harp.

“I’ve played it since I was about 10 years old. It’s just for myself and I really like it. It’s a good variation and helps me just to calm down,” said Liensberger.
