Young Girl Takes Olympian Mikaela Shiffrin’s Advice on Skiing, Beats All Boys at U-10 Tournament

Everyone knows how dominant Mikaela Shiffrin is during the slalom competitions. She is a two-time Olympic medalist and showcases her talents in different events. She recently achieved her 47th World Cup slalom win, showing her incredible appetite for the sport. Notably, with her expertise, a heartfelt story emerged from her part as she gave advice to an amateur skier.

The Far West U10 saw a young girl winning the competition as her dad gave wrote a heartfelt post regarding her victory. He mentioned the influence of Shiffrin, who masterminded his daughter’s victory.

Mikaela Shiffrin gives golden advice

Proud dad, Mark Jarvis, posted a video of his daughter slaloming her way to victory in the competition. Emerson Jarvis won her first Far West u10 race by two seconds. Notably, she defeated 52 boys in the competition while beating them by one second.

Following her incredible victory, her father spoke about Shiffrin’s advice that made it possible for his daughter. A young girl with a bright future, her stance looks superb for an athlete who is so young. She waltzes across the gates, to the delight of many fans in attendance.

Her dad posted the video on Twitter as Shiffrin reacted to the post with a celebratory emoji.

While the young girl had her dreams come true, all eyes will now turn to Shiffrin, who moves closer to another gold medal in Beijing. At the 2022 Winter Olympics, she can fetch a third gold medal by winning her signature slalom competitions in China.

A record-breaking performance

With her Slovakian rival Petra Vlhova competing by her side, Shiffrin grabbed her 47th win, beating Swedish legend Ingemar Stenmark’s 46 wins record. Notably, she looked proud of her achievements as she gave a tribute to her opponent following her victory.

“Any time you’re able to be a little bit faster than Petra, that’s an incredible job. She’s so strong, she’s making no mistakes, she’s skiing slalom the way it’s meant to be skied. It’s impressive. It’s really special to watch that. It’s a special season she’s had so far. It’s not stopping tonight, that’s for sure,” said Shiffrin.
