Both Kelly Slater and Lewis Hamilton have maintained their top-notch status in their careers ever since they started. Interestingly, the legends are good friends and have also been spotted together a lot of times, mostly while surfing in the ocean. The F1 legend, who has seven world championship titles to his name, was recently appreciated by surfing legend Kelly Slater.

Some hours ago, Slater posted an Instagram story, tagging Lewis Hamilton. The story has a video that Hamilton posted some days ago where he is enjoying the waves of the ocean. Slater is an old friend of Hamilton, and both of them have a parallel sports profession, although the thing they share is the love of surfing.

“@lewishamilton and his favorite sport!” Slater mentioned this in his Instagram story. Hamilton, on the other hand, is surfing elegantly in the video he posted. No wonder it caught the eye of the legendary surfer.

The video of Hamilton had fans going crazy. Some people even commented on him being the ‘coolest man on the grid’. The coolest man on the grid was inspired by none other than Slater himself.

Slater has been in the surfing scene since he was just 20 years old, which also makes him the youngest and oldest surfer to win the World Surf League. Despite being in his 50s, Slater is still going strong in the sport and is also a source of inspiration for those who are entering the scene. Hamilton loves the way Slater has dominated the professional surfing scene and admires him a lot as a friend and a mentor.

Just a year ago, Lewis Hamilton thanked Kelly Slater for his dedication to the sport of surfing. The F1 legend loves surfing as much as he loves racing off his opponents on the race track. It was a heartwarming message from Hamilton to Slater as one legend admired another.

“Kelly probably doesn’t know this but he changed my life for the better. I want you all to know how great of a human being this man is. I am forever grateful for the time you have given me, for the insight and your passion for the waves. Thank you @kellyslater,” Hamilton wrote in his tweet. He was grateful to the surfing legend for an incredible surfing career. Slater was also a surfing guide for the F1 champ, which touched him even more.
