As per the social media update, the Thor actor opened up about his passion for surfing, in addition to accepting the fact that it added to his close-knitted bond with the Hemsworth family. “It gave me the best memories with my family. surfing remains a mainstay in my life and has become a part of my identity, and I continue to make memories with my own family in the ocean,” he stated in his insightful caption. 

Furthermore, the Australian icon shared a brief anecdote from his childhood stating that his father introduced him to surfing. He disclosed, “Growing up, my dad would pack my brothers and me in the Kombi van to take the hour-and-a-half ride to the beach to surf.” The post featured a collage of him engaging in different sports along with a heartwarming family photo.

Besides that, Hemsworth also unveiled his love for sports in general. He claimed that his sporty life predisposed him to a highly active lifestyle, however, breaking waves with his surfboard topped his list of favorite sports. “Sport has always been an essential part of my life. I’ve played and watched so many different ones over the years. But the one that I’ve always loved the most is surfing,” the 39-year-old actor detailed. By the same token, Hemsworth once revealed a hilarious story involving surfing legend, Kelly Slater.

As per sources, the star once gave out an amusing story from his young surfing days. Apparently, he was out in the theatre class when his father went surfing and met the G.O.A.T. athlete. His father had an amazing session with Kelly Slater. After Chris found out, he instantly burst into tears regretting his miss out. “I just started crying,” he admitted.

Even though the two are great buddies now, Hemsworth hasn’t yet shared the incident with Slater. The episode had occurred before he made acquaintance with the athlete. However, the duo share a firm bond and experience a lot of fun moments together.
