Nonetheless, some big-wave surfers never shy away from chasing the thrill residing within those deadly wave spectacles. Likewise, in 2018, German surfing prodigy, Sebastian Steudtner paddled the 115-ft high wave at Prai de Norte and stunned the surfing community.

Just when you think you have seen the most bizarre thing on social media, a hoard of viral videos on the internet proves otherwise. Along similar lines, a jaw-dropping video of Sebastian Steudtner riding the 115-feet wave at Praia de Norte got resurfaced, and it was a spectacle, nonetheless.

The social media cult went frenzy over the German surfer’s attempt at Nazare

37-year-old Sebastian Steudtner is one of the prominent names in the world of surfing. He is known to have broken the record in October 2020 off the coast of Praia de Norte, when he surfed through an 86-feet barrel. Following this, the surfing legend won the Guinness World Record for surfing the largest wave. Then in 2021, Steudtner’s majestic ride won the Biggest Tow Award at the 2021 Red Bull Big Wave Awards. 

However, way before making it to the spotlight in 2020, the German surfer already made many heads turn his way in 2018, by paddling through a wave that measured a whopping 115 feet. It’s been 5 years since Steudtner’s incredible feat, but fans are still not over it.

Captioning the video, the fan page wrote, “Surfing a 115 foot wave”. On this, fans and netizens penned…

Some fans even expressed their intrigue and wrote, “How does a wave get that big without a natural disaster?“. One penned, “Is this for real?”

Mentions like, “Incredible“, “Beautiful. The wave, and human“, “Wow, under normal conditions, even professional surfers usually don’t prefer waves bigger then 30 meters” brimmed the Twitter thread to the hilt.
