The surfing world has witnessed a series of peculiar instances. Well, new beginnings call for new odd moments. Recently a surfer, Paul Myles noticed a blue shark stranded at Eastern View beach. Moreover, he couldn’t help but prop up the fish and carry it a bit deeper into the ocean waters.

As refreshing and wholesome as it sounds, ABC News reported that the surfer described himself to be more inclined towards the aquatic beings and unable to figure out the actual problem, he simply picked it up. Let’s dive deeper into the surfer’s goodwill.

Surfer, Paul Myles saved a shark

In a recent article by ABC News, an Australian surfer, Paul Myles’s sight caught notice of a blue shark struggling in the shallow waters of Eastern View Beach outlining Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Myles with utmost generosity decided to save the big blue fish. Initially, the surfer put in efforts to push the shark with the help of his surfboard but all in vain. Hence, he lifted the heavy fish as it flogged and thrashed and eventually released it to the slightly deeper margin of the ocean. 

“I just thought I’d give it a chance, I wasn’t sure if it was just disorientated or sick or whatever, Myles said. He implied that the shark probably was massed at 44 lbs, had a peaked snout and its color seemed blue. ” I thought I’d get it out on the water a bit further out, see if it would swim out to sea but it didn’t seem too well”, he detailed.

Mr. Myles, who is also a professor, revealed he had been involved with surfing for more than 40 years and it wasn’t often he witnessed a shark within such close proximity to the beach. Although, he claimed to have seen only one 20 years ago beside the ocean rocks.

The surfer admitted to his inclination towards the big cartilaginous fishes and expected that his goodwill be reciprocated next time he encounters these intimidating creatures of the sea. He said, “I think I might earn some brownie points next time a shark comes past me.” The Australian native disclosed that he would resume his surfing expeditions from next week. 

2022 Surfing Moments: A dog surfs his way to fame

In another jaw-dropping episode,  a black labrador was observed gliding exceptionally on a surfboard in one of the beaches of Fistral. Likewise, the wide-eyed surfers nearby witnessed the occurrence. While the video of the furrball went viral, netizens couldn’t believe a dog practicing the sport that otherwise takes the best efforts out of human beings.

“Just a dog surfing like a pro on Fistral today. He was absolutely loving surfing with his dad”, disclosed the author of the viral visuals. However, a World Dog Surfing Championship actually took place in the United States around the early part of 2022. Packs of dog surfers were seen participating in the event.
