Kelly Slater, who is said to be the best surfer in the world, is scared about a few things that he once revealed in an interview. He opened up on this in an interview in 2016 and it’s really interesting to know the things that he is scared of.

Kelly Slater is a surfing icon who has won the World Surf League Championship a staggering 11 times. This is almost unreal and unbeaten record to date. He also has many more surfing records to his name. Thanks to this, there is no surfer that comes close to him. Both, in terms of skills and record making wins.

Kelly Slater is scared of these things!

The surfing legend once revealed a few things that really scare him. He said, “I’m scared of drowning. I’m scared of dying too soon.” Slater shared that he is extremely scared of drowning. This comes as a surprise considering he is the top surfer of all time and spends hours at end in giant waves. Having a fear of drowning while surfing at the same time is really scary!

Moving further on the topic, Slater revealed one more of his fears. He said, “I’m also scared of not experiencing everything I can in life.”  Slater said the thing that he fears the most is not being able to experience everything that he can and would want to experience in life.

Slater has suffered many accidents!

Throughout Slater’s long career, he has suffered many injuries and has experienced many accidents. He has experienced many head, foot, and shoulder injuries throughout his career. This is even more horrifying considering the fact that he is scared of drowning. And hence, an injury in water can lead him to drowning.
