What happened following the wipeout?

In his latest Instagram post, the 28-year-old shared the vlog of his paddling session at Teahupo’o. In the video, Tahitian bodyboarder, Tahurai Henry can be seen towing Florence toward the wave barrel with his jet ski. As they approached the wave, Florence separated his surfboard from the jet ski and paddled toward the crest. However, before reaching the pinnacle, the wave torrent drowned him.

Before the next wave comes in, Henry came to his rescue and accelerated his jet ski toward the shore. In the caption, Florence expressed his gratitude toward Henry and penned, “I bring you what its like gettin rescued just in time by the master @tahuraihenry at teahupoo thank you bro! That was close!!”. Clearly, Henry’s eleventh-hour rescue really helped the 28-year-old to pull himself out from the deadly clutches.
