In surfing, the waves can be a friend as well as an enemy at different times. In a video by Pedro Miranda, we can witness the example when the waves become the latter. The video by Miranda dates back to 2019, from Nazare, Portugal, when a humongous wave hit both the surfer and the rescuer very hard, got them off the jet ski, and pushed them into the sea.

The life-threatening incident happened in February 2019 when a surfer was trying to dodge a massive wave at Nazare. Unfortunately, he couldn’t. Instead, he cartwheeled into the sea after losing his balance. However, as he tripped into the water, the rescuer immediately reached him on the jet ski before the next wave could arrive. But was he successful in taking him to the shore?

The answer has two parts, no he couldn’t, but yes, he did. As the surfer swiftly grabbed the ski and they fastened towards the shore, the next wave chased them. Within a few moments, the wave hit them and threw them into the ocean. The situation looked troublesome.

Fortunately, they weren’t injured and faced the situation calmly. Although both the boys were separated by quite a distance when the wave hit them, they steadily used upcoming waves to get them back to the shore. Eventually, they reached the shore safely and were seen taking some deep breaths after a long fight against the waves. Recently, the video was again shared by a Twitter account, Science Girl, and the fans reacted with their fear of oceans.
