Sadly, the day has come when arguably the greatest NFL quarterback has decided to call it quits. Tom Brady, who played for 22 seasons in the NFL, has decided to draw the curtain on his extremely decorated career. Announcing his retirement through Instagram, Brady received widespread adulation and tributes from different athletes and celebrities, including Michael Phelps.

Brady penned an emotional post on Instagram, stepping into the next chapter of his life. As he bid goodbye, Michael commented on the post in what was one legend acknowledging the other.

Michael Phelps wishes Tom Brady
Brady is 44 now, and age seems to be catching with the legendary quarterback. Although inevitable and anticipated, given his fan-following and stature, no one saw it coming. Famous sporting personalities like Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne Johnson, and other illustrious athletes wished him luck in the comment section. Among the many congratulations, one came from swimming GOAT, Michael Phelps.
“Congrats bro! Enjoy the next chapter,” Phelps commented. Phelps also posted two hearts along with the GOAT emoticon.

The legendary quarterback won the Super Bowl seven times, along with five NFL finals MVPs. With Brady retiring, the NFL loses a key player who is an asset, not only to his team but to the whole sport.

Brady’s retirement post
The famous quarterback took to Instagram to post his retirement speech. In a 9-slide post, he opened up on how much he has enjoyed the game, being grateful for everything he has achieved to date. Certainly, it was unfiltered of Brady; This was an emotional tribute to his fans on Instagram.
“There is a physical, mental and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life. This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” said Brady.
