Michael Phelps is often seen appearing in various interviews and talk shows. A while back, he talked about the things that need to be rectified in Trump?s administration. In 2018, in an interview with the daily beast, he reproached one of Trump?s policies by saying, ?It is tough and frustrating at times, but we can?t control that. I can?t go down to the White House, knock on the president?s door and say, ?You?ve got to change this?. It?s not going to happen?.

However, this is not the first time when Phelps took a toll on Trump. Based on Phelps? book, Beneath the Surface, the swimming legend once criticized Trump and got into an awkward encounter later. Phelps mentioned, on his tour around America in 2004, he ran into Trump in Michigan. ?I helped open The Ryder Cup golf tournament and met Donald Trump?, Phelps said.?
